The Purcell Singers, conducted by Mark Ford, are performing Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem) at St Martin-in-the-Fields on Tuesday 30 April, 7.30pm. The performance is of the version with piano duet accompaniment, often referred to as the 'London' version, which comes from Brahms' own arrangement of the Requiem for piano duet alone, with the vocal parts extracted (as they are sung). The concert will also include Brahms' Liebeslieder Walzer, Op. 52.
The pianists are Lindy Tennent-Brown & James Longford, with soloists Mary Nelson (soprano) and Daniel Grice (baritone).
Tickets are available here.
